This project has been funded by the Ideas Fund.
It involved Salford University who conducted a research project based on the wellbeing outcomes for participants.

The group tried their hand at a wide range of nature based activities in this project that they co-designed.

The last few sessions have involved growing, harvesting, stripping and weaving willow, supported by the lovely JO from https://www.creativewithnature.co.uk/ and have culminated with the planting of 2 willow beds to grow supplies for the willow weaving sessions in the coming years. Sustainability is one of our priorities as a provider and we are pleased to have delivered this outcome.

There was no let up from the weather when we planted the willow, but with a lot of hard work and some support from our youngest participant, we prepared the beds for the willow.

With some precise planting, the willow rods are finally in their new home. We’ll keep you posted on their growth.
